Need a contiguous bike lane from Brooklyn to Manhattan (and back...)

This post authored by , from zipcode 11217

There is still no way to bike from Brooklyn to Manhattan without risking your life getting to and from the bridges. There should be a dedicated bike lane that is strictly enforced and safe to ride, but that also doesn't require bikers to go around in huge circles and detours.
It's almost as if the DOT is just interested in letting cars in and out of the city, rather than PEOPLE. Just imagine if car drivers had to stop their car and carry it on their shoulder to get on the Manhattan Bridge!

Fluoride, is the residue run off of industrial waste. When the metals manufacturers convinced the U.S. Government to put it into our drinking water, no one paid attention to what could happen when people take medicine with fluoridated drinking water..Plastics are a by product of Oil. The plastics lobby is very strong. The people who drink beverages (Especially acetic ones) from these unhealthy container run the risk of injesting all the poison chemicals leeching out from these containers. ( Not to mention there is no way to dispose of the empties safely and they will pile up forever in our poisoned environment..) Glass was safe, sanitary and disposable. Duh! Food manufacturers vie for the public to buy THEIR products by loading them with fat, salt, sugar and artificial colors and or dyes..I know you can't do anything about these problems because the lobbyists are too strong to fight but at least you did something for me individually by allowing me to vent.. Thank you.. Judith Heller-Braff
